Evolved Pumpkin Lord Class Skills

Last Friday, the Evolved Pumpkin Lord Class went live! For years, heroes have been asking us to release an evolved version of the Pumpkinlord Class, and THIS is the year! If you haven't had a chance to pick it up and squashed your enemies yet, check out the skills breakdown below!
How to Get the Class?
The Class, Armor, and Helm will be available in three ways:
- To all players for 2000 AdventureCoins (if you do not want to farm)
- As a member-only drop Great Pumpkin King
- For members in the Mogloween Merge Shop for Glowing Pumpkinseeds
To get the Legion version of the armor, helms, and capes (no separate class), you'll need your Legion Tokens handy! You'll be able to turn them at the Mogloween Merge Shop.
This gear will ONLY be available during Mogloween each year, so don't miss out! And now... on to Zereldo's skill breakdown!

The CrüxShadows Arrive on 10.30.2015
Join Us for a Massive Musical Mogloween In-game Concert!
Mogloween is one of the most anticipated holiday events of the year - and this year's event is going to be STELLAR! We'll be joined by internationally-famous darkwave musical guests, The CrüxShadows - they're going to rock your Mogloween as you battle to the beat through waves of monsters and mayhem!
The Creative Process... is ALIVE!
Artix, Rogue from The CrüxShadows, and I had another call this week to pin down the final details of this year's event and I am 1000% more excited because... the plans have COMPLETELY changed into something even more amazing! (When creative people get together and begin brainstorming, ideas organically grow and change and... if you are lucky... they will evolve into even more incredible creations over time)!
The team is shifting into SUPER-HYPER ASSET CREATION MODE for the event starting TODAY! Next week, we are changing up the planned release schedule from the next Queen of Monsters: Brightoak Grove story to "Undead Assault: The Hoard" so Ghost can spend TWO full weeks animating the 5-act in-game event.
Darkovia Scarbucks update: The plans for Khalu Bash's Grand Opening of Darkovia's first-ever Scarbucks have been delayed until November (because we will use the DARKEST, FUNNIEST, DEADLIEST, GORE-AND-GOURDLIEST storyline it hints at for Thankstaking instead, because PUMPKINS!!!!)
Who Are The CrüxShadows?
If you have not heard of The CruxShadows before, you should head to their website, Facebook, Twitter, or Youtube and start checking them out! Their music has a really positive message with a dark and driving sound that a lot of us here at the lab really connect with personally.
Hands down one of the most popular Darkwave bands in the world, the Crüxshadows formed in the early 1990s in north Florida. Pairing lyrics that move the spirit and rhythms that drive the feet (and beat), their success has earned them "a near legendary underground status."
They've played shows across the world, and were one of the first Western acts to play in Romania and Serbia following the Cold War. They were one of only a handful of Western alternative bands to perform at the Greenpeace Midi Open-air Festival in Beijing, China. They've produced over 18 CDs, a DVD, and countless compilations, plus have two Billboard #1 hits in the US (Sophia in 2006 and Birthday in 2007).

Four Nostalgia Packed Posts!
Holidays are big in Artix Entertainment, but few are more hyped than the October spooktacular Mogloween. Whether you’ve play each release or are new to the AQW family, check back every Thursday this month for a new nostalgia-filled Mogloween themed Throwback. The more knowledge a hero has, the more they can get out of all the previous Mogloween maps!
Pumpkin King Canarage
Back in October of 2008, when AQW was barely on the road to the MMO it is today, the bridge between Lore and Mystcroft become clear. In a town where it is always Mogloween, ghouls and bumps in the night are the norm. However a vicious vegetable, The Great Pumpkin King, proved to more trouble than the town’s inhabitants could endure. Luckily, Artix didn’t want any Mogloween sweets, he needed a monster to stick his (chainsaw) teeth into. This Pumpkin beast can’t be defeated, only contained after its arrival every Mogloween.
Following years of Artix vs Pumpkin clashes, he needs a hero to take up the fight. With the drops available, it’s time to grab a sickle and start slaying. Just listen to these satisfied plant killers:
Alina: I got a Great Pumpkin Sword!
Twilly: I got the Pumpkin Lord Class!!!
Artix: I got a Mini-Pumpkin Pet!!!!!
Cysero: I got a rock.
Jack-o’-Lord
In 2009 AQW players finally learned about something better than beating the King of the pumpkins.What could be possibly be more enjoyable? Why, being a lord of those orange wannabe gourds of course. Be warned, obtaining the coveted Pumpkin Lord class is no easy task. Finding a ripe enough verision to pluck from the dying leaves of the StalkWalker or Great Pumpkin King is quite rare. Expect a successful search 1 out of every 100 times. If one can claim the Pumpkin Lord for their own, be ready to carve through enemies in Mystcroft and beyond!
Double Bubble Toil and Trouble
Between the 3 cauldron sisters and a seemingly sympathetic Vampire Queen, Mystcroft has enough quests and items to obtain that a skeleton can be worked to the bone. Before any candy shoppe or corny farm adventures, it’s time to help out Safiria and the sisters Bubble, Toil, and Trouble in Mystcroft's resident haunted mansion. If a true hero can help all the residents out in a pinch, Safiria may have some thrilling Vampire Queen requests in store. Before offering assistance know that these sisters are all candy, all the time. With their talking candy cauldron Myx they plan to make enough sweets for everyone. As frequent stars of AQW’s Mogloween adventures, you never know trouble they get themselves into. Whether driving Lore’s Moglins into sugar related insanity or investigating some children’s obsession with corn, they know how to keep October interesting.
More Tricks and Treats to come
This is only the first few licks of the lollipop that is Mogloween! The cauldron sisters and all of Mystcroft’s residents have plenty more stories to tell. We had planned to finish the wedding release in one week last week. This week's storyline release IS a bit shorter than usual, but had we not split last week's release into two parts, we would not have been able to put nearly as much effort into this week's cutscenes as we did. I'd rather do them right than do them quickly! (Especially when the reactions to the release have been so emotional!)

If you already have an upgraded account and the upgrade will be active - or expires - on November 1st, then congratulations, you're already a 5th Upholder!

New Beginnings
Welcome To Game Improvement Friday
We love releasing new stuff for you every week but sometimes it means that we get behind on some of the the stuff that we NEED to do. So on rare occassions we will take a week off of the insane stories and thrilling adventures and take care of some business.
This week we devoted ourselves to three main tasks.
1) Get the AQW Tutorial ready for launch.
2) Get the new Book of Lore ready to be released.
3) a TON of Minor Bug Fixes.
The Tutorial will be ready tonight. If you don't know a tutorial is, It's a small part of a game that teaches you how to play it. Right now AQW just dumps you into Battleon without any fanfare. Good luck, hope can figure out how to play.
This is TERRIBLE for new players. It's intimidating and frustrating and causes a LOT of players to create accounts, log in once and run away.
The tutorial introduces a new NPC, Serval. Just after you fall off the mountain in the intro you wake up to Serval and twilly running for their lives from Sepulchure's Minions as they swarm the countryside in his assault on Swordhaven (remember that?).
We designed this new experience for people who have never played AQw or any other AE game before so the monsters will seen very easy and the directions very simple to you, but it might be just what a new player needs to feel at home in AQW.
We're asking for you to help us out with some feedback. Please read the directions then let us know what you think on the AQW Forums!
The Book of Lore overhaul was too large of a project for one week but Yorumi assures me that it will be ready next week. I think you guys will be pleased with the interface inprovements and enhanced experience. I think people will use it a lot more often.
The minor bug fixes are stuff that you'll probably never notice but hoipefully it will smooth out some catches here and there and stop a few of you from getting randomly disconnected.
OVERSOUL: OPEN BETA!
Nulgath, Warlic and Rolith have been pushing really hard in order to get OverSoul ready for this week and som far things are looking great.
If you haven't yet, you should really get in on some of the Open Beta madness that's going on but you'll need a AE Master Account to play.
In honor of this HUGE news, Nulgath has provided the OS Founder Knight set for all AQW players who wish to buy them. There's even Ulric the Alpha Warg.
These items are all going rare in a week or maybe two so if they interest you, if you have played OverSoul or if you're just a fan of Nulgath you don't want to miss these items.
Mogloween and Committed Rares Boost!
The art team has also delivered a host of new weapons and armors to the Mogloween 2012 seasonal rare shop and the Committed Rare Shop including Dage's Legion Raven set!
Unlike most Legion items, this amazing set requires nothing more than buying it from the shop but it IS going rare when the Committed Event Rare shop leaves. Fair warning.

Take Care Up North
Hurricane Sandy Has Landed
Quite a few of you felt the wrath of mother nature as Hurricane Sandy hammered the northeastern coast of the United States. This storm broke a lot of records and has already left thousands without power or homes. My own sister had to evacuate her apartment building in New York City last night as Manhattan lost power and the gas main for her building burst. She spent half the night wandering around with no safe place to go. She's fine now, if a little soggy, and so are all the rest of my friends up there in The City but it's a pretty bad scene.
I hope that all of you, your friends and your family are all safe up there in the frozen north.

Game Improvement Week
It's not a great name because we improve the game every week. Or try to, anyway.
This week we are spending time adding in the new revamped Book of Lore, and adding in the new Tutorial.
Before we set new accounts to go through the tutorial, we're going to release it for you guys and ask for your honest feedback on the AQW Forums. Once we've tweaked it out and made it as clean, fast and easy to understand as possible then we will add it to the beginning of the game. Yorumi is also fixing a lot of older bugs and TRYING to discover a new way to handle the inventory that might allow you to get more inventory space.
As you know we can't just add more as we are at the current possible limit that the game can handle.
You will help escort Twilly and Serval through the new tutorial!
We will also be adding a new wave of Mogloween Seasonal Rares and Committed Event Rares to those two shops this week. Don't forget that we still have the Birthday Event, the Alina and Rolith Wedding, the Committed Mogloween Special and the normal seasonal Mogloween releases in-game for a limited time. If you haven't played through all of those, now would be a good time to get caught up!
ONE DAY LEFT for 4th UPHOLDER!
Don't forget that tomorrow is Oct 31st, which is the LAST DAY to Upgrade and become a 4th Upholder. You will have a chance to become a 5th upholder next year but you will miss out on the rare Star Swords, the Character Page Badge and the sheer awesomeness of being a 4th Upholder!

Happy Mogloween!
Are you Committed?
The Mogloween 2012 release is LIVE! This is a very special Mogloween release with musical guests One-Eyed Doll!
/join Asylum and you can watch One-Eyed Doll's brand new viceo for the song "Committed"! You'll also a new Mogloween 2012 shop, an Event Rare Shop and you can start the Committed Mogloween event!
Earlier today we released the new video in-game with most of the new items, but each of the previously released shops have had at least one more new item added to them.
If you can survive a night in the abandoned Asylum with Kimberly and me, then you will unlock the Committed Character Page Badge and the special Committed Merge Shop.
I think you'll find the Merge Shop to be especially difficult as it requires three merge items, all rare drops, all from bosses in the event, and two of the bosses are only found in the completely random maze of mirrors! So have fun with that!
Special thanks to One-Eyed Doll for allowing us to use their music and their voices in this event. For my own voice acting, I make no appologies.

One-Eyed Doll's Committed!
World Premiere Video!
It's TIME! We are too excited to keep this to ourselves so we are releasing a pre-event version of the Committed Asylum Map where you will be able to see the brand new video for One-Eyed Doll's song Committed!
We have also opened the Event Rare Shop full of AC items that will go rare and the new Mogloween 2012 Seasonal Shop with lots of taggged items that you can only buy during Mogloween! Once we release the FULL event later tonight, you will find a bunch of event drops and be able to unlock an event Merge shop where you can farm for a ton MORE new items! You will also be able to unlock the Committed Character Page Badge when you complete the event.
Something About A Dragon
The One-Eyed Doll CD "Something About a Dragon" is now for sale on HeroMart. This CD was lovingly crafted by the band just for the AE community and features the songs "Mirror, Mirror", "Scorpion Death" and "Girl On Convict Hill" features in tonight's event as well as the songs "Battle On!" and "Pony vs. Pony Theme"!
The CD also comes with the non-member Metal Sneevil pet!
We also have the Mogloween 2012 Shirt as well as the AE 10th Anniversary Shirt for sale. Each of these come with an awesome in-game armor and since these shirts are sure to sell out, they are rares!

Insane In The Mainframe
This Mogloween Will Be Crazy!
This Friday we will be releasing our very extra creepy Mogloween 2012 event with special guests, One-Eyed Doll! Teaming up again with One-Eyed Doll is always great but for Mogloween, it's the PERFECT fit!
Kimberly is a long-time friend of AE and one-time Chaos Lord, but this year she will be rocking our faces off in the old abandoned Pandinus Insane Asylum.
This event will include a number of Mogloween rares and an Achievement Badge for your character page, but it's too awesome to only come back once a year so we're keeping the Asylum map as a permanent part of AQW.
You will also be able to watch the world premiere of OED's video for their new song Committed!
You'll also get the first crack of their new CD "Something About A Dragon?" from HeroMart.com! The CD will be the first CD to feature their song "Battle On!" and a number of other new tracks like "Mirror, Mirror" from the event and the Pony Vs. Pony Theme Song!
Keep reading the Design Notes for more updates about this event starting Friday, October 26th at whenever we launch it. I'm thinking around the usual time.
Chunin Changes
We got a lot of feedback from you guys over the weekend about the new Chunin Class and as always we try to give you what you want. We've slightly reduced the mana cost for a couple of it's skills, increased the damage on Chi Blast and the biggest change is that we changed the mana regen model from Warrior to match DragonLord.
That means that you will still get mana with every hit you deliver BUT it now has an inver relationship to your HP so you should get more mana the weaker you get and with no heals in the class, you DO get weaker.
I DID see a lot of feedback that a lot of you really like the class the way that it is so these changes should make you like it even more without overpowering it.
Keep in mind that you will only be able to EARN the class until the birthday event leaves on Friday, November 9th! CORRECTION: Friday November, 16th!
Alina and Rolith Are Married!
This weekend was the actual wedding of Rolith and Alina. It was on a boat so I won't ever forget it, as the song says. They said their vows on the ship's aft deck, being wed by the ship's captain as the sun sank slowly and we sailed away from the setting sun into a warm night of celebration on the Gulf of Mexico. There were gifts, dances (their first dance as a married couple was to JoCo's Code Monkey), songs (Warlic and Alina's sister played them to the alter and Alina sang one herself to Rolith) and stories. Artix and I both got to dedicate toasts to the happy couple and tell stories about how much they mean to us and to each other. It was a beautiful night.
In-game, their wedding event is going strong and will continue for 2 weeks before vanishing. The Book of Lore badge for completing the event will appear this Friday along with the OED Character Page badge.
