Zombies, Mayhem, Mods

All they want to do is eat your brains!

And the brains of every single person on Lore! Sepulchure started this war, but you are going to have to be the one to end it, Hero! The war meter is at 62% right now, so you've got 8% to go before you unlock the boss fight! Which of your friends will be the first to fall to the raging horde of Zombies?

Zombie Ninja Armor releases this Friday! (PvP last week's Zombie Pirates!)

The war continues this week as the toxic fog creeps across the land, turning innocent townsfolk into terrifying undead! Dark truths will be brought to Light this week, but not before you and your fellow Heroes take down the millions of undead swarming out of Swordhaven!

Gaaaaaaames, I want to make you gaaaaaaames.

Et Tu, Zombeh?

Tomorrow is the 2,055th anniversary of Julius Caesar Germanicus's birthday. A famous general, ruler, and directly responsible for both Nero and Caligula (the first fiddled while Rome burned, the second made his horse a politician), tomorrow he rises again to lend his military might and strategic knowledge to the army of undead plaguing Lore!

We'll have the Zombie Caesar Armor and more in a Limited Time Shop available until next Wednesday!

And now a word (actually, many words) from Reens, AQW's Lead In-Game Moderator:

Hi guys! Stratos and I are looking for new mods for AQWorlds (and HeroSmash), and now is your chance to apply!  One thing I have to stress - you MUST be over 18.  If you are under 18, if you don't include your age, or if you start with "I'm not 18 yet, but..." the application will not be considered.

What we need included in your email is:
1. Your real name, age, country of residence.
2. AQW Game account name and email
3. Artix Entertainment Master Account name and email (AE Portal Site)
4. Forum account name and email (not required to have one)
5. Languages you speak
6. A cover letter describing yourself, and what you think being a mod will mean.

Please send your COMPLETE application to [email protected] .  If the application is not complete, we won't consider it.  And please, one application per person. Stratos and I will read all the applications.  If you are chosen to go through a further interview, we will contact you. Unfortunately, we cannot reply to everyone.

BakeShop of Horrors!

Mogloween 2011 is here! With PIE!

Fear, loathing, and sugar craving, all in MystCroft this year! Cysero has baked a devilishly delicious dessert, but it needs one more ingredient! He needs YOU to help him find it and keep all the villagers and monsters from eating it before it's ready! (Don't forget! You'll need to play through all the previous years of Mogloween events!)

Note: Make sure your sound is ON! You'll miss the best, creepiest part of the event if sound if off.

It's nightmare fuel. Becuase food is fuel, ya'know?

But something about this pie is just not right. And when Baron Luca, MystCroft's resident Vampire Lord, finds out about the pie... there is going to be trouble! What's he got against delicious, peachy pastries? Why do they make him go berserk? You'll need to find out! (And you will. Just wait for the boss fight and his transforming blood-rage!)

Baron Luca is hungry. And so is his servant!

The madness, the horror, and the sweet, sweet fear in this Mogloween's release reminds us of The Simpson's Treehouse of Horrors Halloween Specials. So we felt it was appropriate to call this release: "Bakeshop of Horrors!" After all, when Cysero bakes, who knows WHAT will come out of the oven?!

Purple Elephants on a SkyShip

That seems like a silly SkyPirate strategy...

Afternoon, Heroes and Heroines and Anti-Heroes! (Not the same thing as Villains according to literary theory!) Cysero told Twitter that I would write Design Notes. Now, I didn't think that was really wise since I'm taking some medicine for pain (I had 3 wisdom teeth pulled yesterday), but I trust Cysero! He's never steered me wrong yet, except for the time he suggested I eat the snozzberry yogurt. But might have dreamed that memory.

OOOH speaking of literature, I was reading a book Monday to distract myself from the pain in my mouth and it was about Hannibal using elephants in war. And THAT led to my dream - which happened when Rolith made me take a NAP (even though I need to work and not sleep!) - which was KIND OF about the release...

In that I dreamed about the SkyGuard (visions of BattleOn, Arcangrove, Lolosia, and more exploding as SkyPirate bombs fell on them) and SkyPirates using (this is a REALLY bad idea, pirates) purple elephants to attack the SkyGuard's Department of Strategization...

which sounds like defenestration...

which means to throw out of a window...

and the eyes are the window to the soul...

and sailors say "Aye Aye Cap'n"...

and the SkyGuard are sailors of the air...

and air is in hairspray...

which they use to style beehive bouffants...

which sounds like elephants...

that the SkyPirates want to purple! It all makes SENSE!@!!!

The TV and the DVR are glaring at me with malice in their beady little red LEDs. They're going to get me, and Rolith's out getting more juice! Oh NOOOOO!

I'm gonna need a Hero! And the SkyGuard are holding on for a Hero 'til the end of the Flight! You've gotta be brave, gotta /unsheath at the sight of SkyPirates as they start to fight!

Also successful (we think) will be this Friday's Limited Time Shop (member-only items sold for gold)! Cysero talked about that here. Cysero talks about a lot of things (he is REALLY smart! No joke.), and this is one of the ones you should definitely remember to pay attention to.

If you follow that link, you'll ALSO get to learn, or to remember if you've already learned it, about the update to the Treasure Chests this week! We're not going to stop filling those until you have HUNDREDS of items to collect! (That is a HUGE chest! Perhaps it is a Treasure Chest of Holding. HAH! D&D reference. I love being a nerd.)

We will also TRY to update the Player Suggestion shop. It depends on how much time we have.
