After that, you'll get a free Bonus IoDA for every 3 eligible IoDA you redeem, with no maximum stack. So if you have that dream set of gear you want to create... now you'll be able to.

1st IoDA, you'll unlock 1 free bonus IoDA
2nd IoDA, you'll unlock 1 free bonus IoDA

Lae's Hollowborn Birthday Gear

Our birthday celebration for AQW artist @Yo_Lae is here! (Even though his birthday isn't until June 28th.) Today, find the new Hollowborn Fiend Reaper and Hollowborn DragonSlayer sets in the ShadowRealm Merge in /shadowrealm. Then return on Monday as the ShadowLord drops new and returning 0 AC seasonal birthday items.

The Moya Fix

Due to the categorical nature of special monsters, a few small changes in the right (or wrong!) places can make a huge difference. Due to this, and the properties that many bosses share with a certain Desterrat Moya, a few bugs caused sweeping changes throughout the game. Over the last week, Rhubarb, Reens, and the class team have been hard at work debugging, finding, and fixing all of the changes the best they can!

The full changelog of fixes is as follows:

Ultra Carnax is firin’ his lazer once more
Undead Raxgore has warmed up and can counter attacks again, and will do so more frequently, but for shorter periods
Ultra Exos has been reminded of how to concentrate his chaos power to explode his foes
Drakath at /mountdoomskull has been reminded of his chaos powers
Blood Titan and Ultra Blood Titan have tapped into their bloodlines and regained their bloodrage powers once more
Trigoras phase 1 (Baby, Teen, Adult, and Ancient) will use all of their specials more evenly randomly now.
Trigoras phase 2 (Baby, Teen, Adult, and Ancient) has been reminded how to breathe fire
Moganth, Zellare, Udaroth, Cellot, and Desoloth at /desoloth have been reminded how to breathe fire
Desterrat Moya has regained the ability to stun players with his powers
Ultra Vordred in /epicvordred has regained his powers of darkness
Naga Baas in /orecavern has been reminded of some of its abilities
Khassandra has unlocked her hidden chaos lord powers
The French Horn Toaddragon has been taught how to play petrifyingly good music once more

Tomorrow is Juneteenth, and here in the US, we've just made it an official federal holiday. Some of you might be asking... "What's that?" Many of you already know. In case you don't, though... let me share what that means.

Juneteenth celebrates the emancipation of slaves in the United States. Most states in the US celebrate this on June 19th (which is where the holiday's name comes from, June + nineteenth) but in several areas around the country the celebrations can stretch across several days of parades, parties, lectures, and exhibitions celebrating African-American culture.

Members of our player community have every color skin, practice every religion, and come from nearly every country around the world. It has always been important to us to represent and promote equality, unity, kindness, and the spirit of playing together.

I hope you'll join us in continuing to move towards a better world, where all heroes can work alongside each other as we direct our combined energy, talent, and skill towards goals that will take us all further and higher.

Shadows of War: Into the Plane of Fire

Return to the Shadows of War Saga this weekend as our main story heats up... literally! Fiamme, the Avatar of Fire, has summoned you and Galanoth the DragonSlayer to help defend her realm, the Elemental Plane of Fire, from a new threat.

Malgor has joined forces with one of your old enemies, Tyndarius, scourge of the Embersea Isles and former General of the Queen of Monsters. Together, they've created the perfect weapon to invade the Elemental Plane of Fire; by corrupting Tyndarius' army, the Firestorm Onslaught, with Malgor's power, a new force has been formed... the ShadowFlame Onslaught!

This Weekend: Paladin Celebration!

Unlock new Paladin-themed gear + level up your Destiny Axe

Summer is upon us, and the sun is shining more brightly than Artix's Blinding Light of Destiny! Log in this weekend as we ward off the ShadowFlame's oncoming darkness with a bright, Paladin-themed release. We've got new quests, the Sanctified Arbiter paladin gear, and a permanently-available version of the Daimyo pet!

In LightGuard Keep

Find Jill'ette the Paladin TreasureHunter in /lightguard. Complete her quest to unlock pieces of the Sanctified Arbiter gear.

In the Necropolis

Talk to Artix in the /necropolis. All heroes can complete his quest to unlock the 0 AC, member-only* Ascended Armor Daimyo Battle Pet.

Artix also has a quest for heroes eager to add even MORE glowing epicness to their Blinding Light of Destiny. Complete it to unlock a new cosmetic version of the axe, the Sanctified Light of Destiny -- this version still does 75% extra damage to the Undead, but is EVEN SHINIER!

* If you do not have an active membership, Daimyo will be content to /rest in your inventory until it is time for his next adventure.

The Legend of Daimyo

Once upon a time there was a feudal lord from a great Eastern Kingdom. He battled an evil Witch, who cursed him into the form of an adorable puppy. While undertaking the perilous quest to return to normal, he befriended and became the faithful companion of the Paladin, Artix. No one knows Daimyo's secret or what quest is required to return to normal. Mostly because every time he tries to speak it comes out as cheerfully high pitched, "Arf!"

In real life, Daimyo was by Artix's side since he started creating the original AdventureQuest. The story of how Daimyo came into his life is perhaps closer to the Legend... but the first time he looked up at me with those puppy eyes, he pierced my soul. We both knew we were about to start an incredible adventure.

Each year on his birthday, June 1st, heroes have been able to buy him inside our games as a pet for one day only. This started in the first game, and has become a yearly tradition. Several years ago, the real life Daimyo, Artix's faithful companion of over 15 years, left our world. He was the inspiration for Daimyo, the Undead Slaying Pomeranian, who appears in many of our video games-- where he will live on forever, as an iconic symbol of hope, loyalty, and cuteness.

And now, we want to make the Ascended Armor Daimyo Pet permanently available to battle alongside you on your adventures. He will be your constant undead-slaying battle companion for as long as you wish.

A New Mindbreaker Enters the Scene

We’ve heard your requests to buff MindBreaker, and present you with Psionic MindBreaker, a new variant of the fan-favorite MindBreaker class, found in the same shop as it! Original MindBreaker will remain available to purchase and use as always. Psionic MindBreaker comes with a modified set of skills that are heavily inspired by the original MindBreaker, but have a unique twist.

Psionic MindBreakers hit hard, fast, and never shy away from a powerful foe. While they can attack more than one target, they prefer fighting one-on-one, and so deal far more damage to their main target. While they’re not the tankiest of warriors, they like to trade life for mana, and heal more the lower their health is!

How to Unlock the Class

Psionic MindBreaker can be found in the 12,000 and 40,000 AC package badge shops, along with the original MindBreaker. If you have not bought it before, you can:

Access the Upgrade Account page here.
Select and purchase the 12,000 AC or 40,000 AC package.
Log in to the game, open your Book of Lore, navigate to the Badges, through Other Badges, and find the MindBreaker badge shop.

Description: Recommended Enhancements: Wizard. An exceptionally well trained MindBreaker, skilled in the arts of psionic manipulation. You bend mental energy within yourself and your opponents to your will.

Mana Regen: Psionic MindBreakers regenerate mana from the psionic flow around them.

Assail two opponents with your mental attacks, clouding their minds and decreasing their crit chance by 25% for 4 seconds.

Mental Flare

Cooldown: 3 seconds

Sharpen your mind and engulf two foes in psionic flames. Always hits and crits. For every target you hit, gain a stack of Concentration, increasing your magical damage dealt by 30%, stacking to 6, and lasting 4 seconds.

Psion Drain

Rank needed: 2
Target: Self
Type: True Damage
Mana Cost: 0
Cooldown: 6 seconds

Open your mind and allow psionic energy to flow in, recovering 35 mana and reducing your mana costs by 10% for 10 seconds, stacking to 4. Doing so, however, overloads your senses, causing you to take damage.

Cerebral Siphon

Rank needed: 3
Target: Enemy
Max Targets: 1
Type: Magical
Range: Long
Mana Cost: 20
Cooldown: 6 seconds

Reach out and invade your opponent’s mind, stealing their life force and healing yourself for half of your missing hp. Your assault leaves them weak, reducing their defense by 40% for 15 seconds. Cannot be avoided, but cannot crit.

Psionic Might

Rank needed: 5

Max Targets: 2
Type: Magical
Range: Long
Mana Cost: 20
Cooldown: 6 seconds

Detonate psions under your control, dealing heavy damage to 2 opponents.

Passive: Psionic Precision

Rank needed: 1
Type: Passive

Starting at rank 1, your precise control over psionic elements allows you to focus your attack power on your main target, dealing double damage to them with your skills.

Passive: Psionic Armaments

Rank needed: 4
Type: Passive

Your psychic powers allow you to conjure metaphysical armor and weapons, decreasing the damage you take by 25%, and increasing your haste and accuracy by 10%.

Passive: Extrasensory Perception

Rank needed: 10
Type: Passive

Rarely, your ability to read the Psionic Flow gives you clairvoyant visions, vastly increasing your combat capabilities for a few seconds.

Note: At rank 10, your autoattacks have a 1% chance per target of granting you 50% more damage, dodge, crit chance, and haste for 10 seconds.

Conclusion

Psionic MindBreaker plays like a fast, aggressive damage dealer class. Paying attention to upkeep its stacking auras will reward you greatly, lowering the costs of your skills, and drastically increasing your damage. Here’s a few tips to keep in mind while playing the class:

Make sure you frequently fire Mental Flares, as Concentration wears off quickly, but is where most of your damage boost comes from.
Time your Psion Drains carefully- they’re your only source of active mana regeneration, and using them too often or not often enough can result in defeat.
The amount of mana Psion Drain recovers is not reduced by your mana cost reduction, so as you stack mana flow, you regenerate proportionally more mana!
The lower your health, the more you heal, so hanging onto the heal as long as you can can be rewarding!
While you can hit multiple targets with your skills, you function best in single-combat, so pick your battles carefully.

Psionic MindBreaker is a constant cycle of maintaining your health, mana, and aura stacks. But timing everything correctly and pacing yourself can lead to some extremely high damage output!
