Final Weekend: Unlock the Urban Assassins

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same as an upgrade bonus? 

Upgrade bonus gear is an extra reward for buying AdventureCoin or Membership packages; new bonus gear comes out roughly every month. Seasonal set packs are bought separately. Just like the Flame Dragon Warrior pack, you can buy the entire set directly, for one price, on our site. You can ALSO buy the individual pieces in-game.

This set will return EVERY August, so if you can't get it now, you'll have another chance in 2021, or 2022, or 2023, etc.

If this isn't a new upgrade bonus, what IS the next bonus?

You can see all the available upgrade bonuses on our upgrade site. The next bonus set will be available soon, so keep an eye on the Design Notes! 

What if I just want ONE of the items?

You're in luck! Talk to Garek in Battleon. He'll be selling the individual pieces of the set through August 31st.

Bug Fixes:

• A lot of items with missing descriptions got them back.
• De'gree's Hair Shop at /Lightguard has reopened.

Art Fixes:

• The Cyber base armours got an art update to make the colours cleaner and sharper.
• Gothika Vogue (f) arm placement fixed.
• Gear Patch (m), Drakonnan Locks, Seraphic Commander (f) had some CC fixes done.
• Overclocked Shadowscythe Blade had the weird red glow removed, and flipped right side up.
• Dark Daimyo now has battle animations.
• Spot On Werejaguar (f)  got ankle surgery.
• Charred Phoenix Crest has been sent to a makeup tutorial.

MindBreaker Class Update

When you purchase a 12,000 AdventureCoin pack, you automatically unlock the MindBreaker Class, armor set, and character page badge. Originally, the class + gear required membership to use, as a bonus for those who bought AdventureCoins and kept an active membership.

After listening to the feedback of many of our players over the last few years, this week we've removed the member flag from the class and armor set. Once you unlock it, you'll be able to use it forever, as long as your account is active. 

Next up... reworking the MindBreaker Class's skills. The Class team and I are eager to hear your thoughts about what you like, don't like, and would like to see improved.

New Character Page Badges are live!

The Necrotic Sword of Doom and Void Highlord character pages achievement badges have been awarded in recognition of the time spent by those who fought and completed quests to unlock them.

• If you farmed the Necrotic Sword of Doom, talk to Braeus in Shadowfall to accept the quest to unlock your badge. 
• If you farmed the Void HighLord Class, talk to Tharanak Hrii in /shadowblast. Complete his quest and your badge will appear!

Note on item variants: The IoDa-obtained item(s) and the farmed versions have the same art and boosts, but are different items. Due to this, the IoDA versions are not eligible to unlock the character page badge (or the dual-wield version of the NSoD in /nostalgiaquest).

The good news is this means you can have both versions though! If you previously obtained your item by IoDA, you can still get the farmed version to get the badges with.

*We're very sorry, but since the Undo is still a manual process, Zohrah will not be able to Undo any of these IoDA choices except as stated on the Prize Redemption Page.

Hello again Buggy Fans!  Been a while since one of these was posted.  This one is more just a reminder!

There seems to have been a wee bit of confusion about what happens when the Game Rules and Terms & Conditions are not adhered to as it pertains to glitch abuse.  Let's see if we can clear it up a little.

Everyone at AQW is human, and we all make mistakes.  Sometimes these mistakes are small and we can just correct it and move one.  Sometimes these mistakes are not so small, and more correction needs to be done, and then we can move on.

When the mistakes are a little larger, and particularly when there has been significant abuse of them before we can get it corrected, we can and sometimes have to remove items or ACs from accounts.  If we have to do this, no other actions are taken against the account, as it began from an "our bad".  However, you can prevent this from happening to you by SENDING A BUG REPORT if you see a glitch, rather than testing it a few dozens times yourself!

Demon Queen Boss Battle

Battle to unlock new items this weekend!

Celebrating the Spirit of Indonesia

We have a vast number of dedicated and passionate Indonesian heroes in our videogame community. To help you celebrate your Independence Day later this month, many of our team members (and players!) joined forces to help create this event for everyone. As you battle through the event, know that Artix, the AdventureQuest Worlds team, and I wish you and your family peace, joy, and love. At a time when there is so much darkness in our world, we strive to help spread light and happiness to as many people as possible... and hope you'll join us in doing the same.

The balance team updated some end-game farming map and balance changes last night. Thank you to everyone who gave feedback on our end-game farming quests over the years. This is the first round of changes as the balance team strives to make farming more fun. Can't wait to see what you think, and what you'd like to see next.

Blinding Light of Destiny Quests

• Mine Crafting: Gold and EXP rewards increased + the item awarded can now be chosen
• Soul Searching: Gold and EXP rewards increased, amount of Undead Essence and Cavern Celestite awarded increased
• Finding Fragments with Blinding Scythe: now has a guaranteed chance to drop Blinding Aura

Sepulchure’s DoomKnight Armor Quests

• Hard Core Metals: Gold and EXP rewards increased + the item awarded can now be chosen
• A Penny for your Foughts: Additional mobs have been added to /maul, EXP reward increased, turn in requirement increased to 20 Doomcoins, now has a chance to drop Shadow Creeper Enchant (which is used for the Dark Spirit Orbs quest)
• DoomCoin: Doomcoin is no longer a temporary item, drop rate of Doomcoin increased, stack limit of Doomcoin increased

Character Page Badges

If you farmed for the Legion Revenant Class, head to your character page to find an all-new exclusive badge! We are planning to release badges for for Void High Lord and the Necrotic Sword of Doom next week, and are finalizing details on the set-up for items obtained through a merge shop (rather than a quest, like the Legion Revenant). 

The team is working on adding even more character page achievement badges for end-game farming items and other achievements (like reaching level 100).

Unlock the Urban Street Gear

Available every year from August 1st - 31st

Your toughest opponents don't always wait until you step onto the battlefield, so when they bring the fight right to your front door, you need to be ready to step out into the street and take them down! The Urban Assassin Gear is our August Seasonal Pack. Unlock the full set and character page badge when you buy the full pack, or talk to Garek in Battleon to get individual set pieces.

August Set: Urban Assassin, Yin-Yang + Yokai Street Gear

Starting Thursday, July 1st at 12:01 AM EST (that's server time), unlock the Urban Assassin armor set and the color customizable Yin-Yang and Yokai Street Wear sets.

There are two ways to get the gear:

1) Total package: Buy the entire set directly through the website for $9.99 USD 

2) Individually: Buy each of the individual pieces from Garek the Traveling Gear Merchant in Battleon.

The total cost to buy all of the gear individually is 5,050 ACs, so getting all the gear from the pack is a pretty sweet deal. 

The set includes:

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same as an upgrade bonus? 

Upgrade bonus gear is an extra reward for buying AdventureCoin or Membership packages; new bonus gear comes out roughly every month. Seasonal set packs are bought separately. Just like the Flame Dragon Warrior pack, you can buy the entire set directly, for one price, on our site. You can ALSO buy the individual pieces in-game.

This set will return EVERY August, so if you can't get it now, you'll have another chance in 2020, or 2021, or 2022, etc.

If this isn't a new upgrade bonus, what IS the next bonus?

You can see all the available upgrade bonuses on our upgrade site. The next bonus set will be available soon, so keep an eye on the Design Notes! 

What if I just want ONE of the items?

You're in luck! Talk to Garek in Battleon. He'll be selling the individual pieces of the set through August 31st.
