Feelin' cooped up? Good news! Our magical Tuesday update is live now in /battlefowl, and it'll really MOO-ve you! Pluck up enough courage (and chickens) to trade Lart the Golden Feathers and Eggs he wants, and he'll give YOU an Archimoodes house guest from his Flock Shop. The 0 AC floor item also drops from the Zeuster Projection and level 26 Chickencow monsters.

The Archimoodes NPC originally appeared in DragonFable, one of Zeuster's magepriests. His name is a parody of the Greek mathematician Archimedes (just like Zeuster's name is a portmanteau of Zeus + Rooster). 

Celebrate EarthDay in the /LivingDungeon! We've got two new 0 AC seasonal house items for you, dropping off the Chia Warrior and the Weeping Widowmaker until May 22nd.

Hogs & Kisses & Sweet Treats

New Midweek Update is Now Available

All's fair in love, war, and... breakfast?! The pups in Chateau's Dog Park will be beggin' for the new NPC hammin' it up in this week's new midweek update. Talk to Big Daddy's Cupig in the /Chateau map now and complete his "Out of Love" quest to choose either a new 0 AC seasonal pet or house item! The quest and rewards leave March 7, 2025.

This deliciously-adorable little emissary from Big Daddy is a little friendly, a little goofy, and based off one of the most "heart-unhealthy" PORK-manteaus on the internet. 

And if you love consuming all of the "behind the scenes" details that go into these midweek updates, here's more trivia to chew on from the design team:

This new expansion quest is meant to be primarily on the silly side. With the way Cupig talks, he’s supposed to act a bit childlike, friendly, and goofy. So, he’s going to speak very differently compared to all of the other NPCs in this map.

I chose /Chateau for a few reasons. It feels pretty lively with NPCs. Also, because of the structuring of the quests. The quests require you to talk to a bunch of NPCs in the map (and this new quest will require the same mobs that 2 of the quests require). Thirdly, I chose this map because one of the rooms has a sign that says "Dog Park." So, I thought it would be funny to put a pig NPC in it.

The quest name is most of the title of a song, which is "All Out of Love" by Air Supply. I was originally going to call the quest "Cupig’s Crazy Catastrophe," but the name didn’t fit well with the quest description. I also make another reference to the song in the quest description. I was going to try to add more references to the song, but I don’t want to get too carried away with that since we’ve been having (REDACTED FOR SPOILERS - Alina)

Paranormal Pocong Problem

Tuesday, August 13th: Indonesia Zone Expansion

Today's midweek update begins our celebration of Indonesian Independence Day with a creepy new reward set themed on the pocong, an undead creature from Javanese mythology. Log in now and talk to Valencia in the /eventhub to begin your hunt!

Once you discover the source of the unsettling pocong problem, you'll gain access to a merge shop which contains the full Pocong Prankster set. The following 0 AC items are available for all players:

• Pocong Prankster armor
• Morph, Visage, Hood, Chad Prankster, Pixie Prankster helms
• Haunted Gravestone mace
• Pocong House Guard

Event Inspiration & Design

English: This week's event was inspired by the Pocong, and is part of our Indonesian Independence Day celebration. The creature is a ghost wrapped in a funeral shroud. If the knots in a shroud aren't untied before a person is buried, they may become a pocong. Also known in Malaysia as "Hantu Bungkus."

Pocong are known to hop like rabbits because their feet are covered in cloth... but those "hops" can be as far as of 50 meters. O_O

Some pocong are friendly supernatural specters.
Some are more like that one prank-playing gymbro who can never take a hint.
Some pocong are so aggressive they'll give you nightmares... while you're still awake!

Caddeus, the game designer, worked with several of the Indonesian artists who regularly contribute to AQWorlds: Arlette, D Black Star, Theves, Yohan. His goal was to create something that was fun, rewarding, and which celebrated the country, people, and culture.

Purifed HydraSlayer Armor Set

Tuesday, August 6th: HydraChallenge Expansion

August 7th is National Sea Serpent Day! To help you celebrate on a grand scale, we're adding an all-new armor set to the Merge Shop in /hydrachallenge! I hope you've been saving those Hydra Scales that drop from the Hydra Heads, because you'll need them to craft the new gear. 

Find the Purfied HydraSlayer Set, an evolution of the classic Hydra Armor from 2008, in Dew Drop Fairy's merge shop:

• 1 armor
• 3 helms
• 1 Hydra Guardian cape
• 1 sword
• 1 dagger
• 2 polearms
• 1 staff

Notes: 

• You must have completed the Escherion storyline to access Dew Drop Fairy in the /hydrachallenge map.

This Friday: Mystical HydraSlayer Set

Return to the HydraChallenge map this Friday! Battle the boss to collect Enchanted Pearls. You can merge them with the base items in Tuesday's HydraSlayer set to craft the color-customizable Mystical HydraSlayer gear.

Dew Drop Fairy's Hydra Bubble

Dew Drop Fairy used her time travel powers and Fairy magic to summon powerful versions of Chaos Lord Escherion's Chaos Beast, the Lake Hydra! Don't worry, she isn't putting Lore in danger; you're inside a bubble of spacetime separate from the real world.

Why these bosses? 

1) Because they're sea serpents and tomorrow's a holiday!

2) Fighting the Hydra Head 90 boss is part of the daily quest to create the Necrotic Sword of Doom. Plus, heroes questing to unlock the Dragon of Time Class also fight the level 90 boss.

So Caddeus figured many heroes would have already maxed out the HydraScale resource. If that's you... you're in luck! YOU can log in-game and spend them now!

Pyroclastic Rewards

Get fired up with today's new monster drops

We're bringing the heat, because today's new reward items are on fire. Literally. Log in now and /join Xantown. Battle Xan the Pyromancer for a chance to get two super-hot new house guards and 2 plushie weapons. 

Today's game update is fire... but a gentle one. If last week's treasure hunt difficulty was "inferno-level rage" today's update is like a campfire. Warm, soothing, and if you're lucky, you'll get a treat before it goes out.

Iconic ArtifactQuest Hunt

Log in now for today's new Treasure Hunt

Last week, we met Edden, a new TreasureHunter in the ShadowRealm. Today, he needs your help to unlock a mysterious chest and its legendary treasure! Talk to him now to begin your adventure, but be prepared... this is a 5 star treasure hunt (the hardest difficulty), so you'll need to work if you want this iconic artifact! Read on for more details!

Edden, the Hollowborn TreasureHunter, found a treasure chest from one of his previous journeys that he's never been able to open. But what he DID discover is that five very special runes are required, and that without those runes, any attempt to open the chest would destroy it. 

You know what that means... time to begin hunting!

This week's seasonal, 0 AC rewards include:

Hint Locations: Each time you successfully locate a rune, check your temporary inventory. You'll find a hint on where to go next in its item description. 

Adventure Requirements: to begin today's update, you'll need to have completed the Whispering Helmet questline in the /ShadowRealm.

New Midweek Update is Live!

Tuesday, June 25: Rockin' Treasure Hunt

This month is the year anniversary for Caddeus, a special guest designer who's been crafting each of these weekly treasure hunts, puzzles, or monster drops. Today's update is a continuation of the Geode Gauntlets and Big Crater hunts, which began last June. You know what that means... completing the first Big Crater hunt will be a pre-rock-ative. :D 

To begin today's update... You'll need to have: the Big Crater house item.

• If you don't already have that, talk to Valencia in the /eventhub to accept your first quest. Then follow the clues from there to unlock a house item that will make a big impact on your home value.
• If you DO already have the Crater, click it and accept the quest it offers you. O_O?!
