The Legend of King Alteon
Once upon a time, there was a simple farm boy named Alden. In a land terrorized by an evil King, Alden did the impossible. He raised a sword against the evil King's monsters... then he raised an army... then he united all of the Kingdoms... then he saved the land and freed all the people from the evil King once and for all! (Story begins in the game Bladehaven) They hailed him the good King Alteon. Justly so! He was caring, honest, wise and true good. He loved the people of his Kingdom. To so many heroes of Lore, he was a father figure... a shining beacon of hope.
Five years ago (Story of the game DragonFable) King Alteon battled the evil forces of the DoomKnight Sepulchure. But he did not do this alone. He saw great potential in a new hero of the land. King Alteon has always had a good eye for seeing someone's true potential. So it comes as no surprise... he saw your potential the moment you first met him.
During the final battle between good and evil (the opening story of AdventureQuest Worlds) King Alteon and Sepulchure squared off to personally finish their battle once and for all. But the fight was inturrupted by two very unusual people; The ChaosLord Drakath... and you. We did not understand at the time what Chaos was, but Drakath had obtained godlike powers. He slew Sepulchure and mortally wounded King Alteon.... leaving him infected with the chaos. It was truely a Kingdom in Chaos. But King Alteon was no ordinary man, he did not succumb to the infection and wisely knew there was only one way to save the land from Drakath. The land needed to be united... a truce must be forged between the forces of Good and Evil.
So he choose you, to travel to the fallen undead flying castle of Shadowfall and convince Gravelyn, the leader of the evil foces to take part in the truce. A bold move considering Gravelyn is the daughter of his former arch-enemy, Sepulchure. You did the impossible and the truce was losely formed. So, just as King Alteon had united the land against that evil King a long time ago, you had now united the land against the ChaosLord Drakath. (I told you King Alteon had a good eye for heroes.) In the great adventures that followed, King Alteon always had the answers. He always knew the right thing to do. Alas, it was only a matter of time before the Chaos finally overtook him. King Alteon knew this day would inevitably come. That is why he selected you... he selected you to do what is right, and save the world from what is coming next. You are now our only hope. We must defeat the second lord of chaos "The Twins" and then face Drakath himself!
In absolute darkness, even the flicker of a candle is a blinding beacon of hope.

Guilds Phase II PTR badge arrives tomorrow!
Now that Yorumi is back from vacation AND healthy, we're moving onto some delayed projects. The Guilds Phase II PTR badge (and the Guild City Founder Statue) will be awarded to ALL players in a Guild created during the PTR at midnight tonight. (They will appear in the Book of Lore immediately, then on character pages tomorrow.) The servers should only need to shut down for 5-10 minutes. Cross your fingers!

What is a Quibble Coinbiter?
Quibble Coinbiter is everyone’s favorite sales Moglin, who travels far and wide, collecting never-before-seen Items to add to your impressive collection. That's right, his gear has never been seen in the world before, but he sells them used... How is this possible? Quibble has a connection with a slightly corrupt time-travel fairy who supplies him with items that have not even been created yet*.

The Chaos War Returns Tomorrow!
Drakath has been patient long enough; starting tomorrow night, the Chaos War returns to Lore! Because we had to remove the war unexpectedly****, the war rares shop also left before we'd promised. The Chaos War rares shop will leave in two weeks, but the Chaorrupter Blade (which does more damage to Chaos monsters) will NOT go rare!

Letter from the Dragon Priestess
Beware the Whispers, Hero!
I am so glad our paths crossed! You do not know me, though you may think you remember who I am. We have never met, but I know you well. I know ALL of you well! And that is why I have traveled so far. I did not think to leave my grove, but when the letter came from Falconreach, I knew I had to travel FAST.
You never know when the whispers will come. The knowledge you need is inside you. The whispers of your past are only heard NOW.
Whispers are floating through the air. Chaos - or something claiming to BE Chaos - has begun talking directly to the Heroes of Lore.
Bells are ringing over Swordhaven. Bells no one can hear. Ringing ringing... ringing in the change to come.
They began in Swordhaven, but heroes across Lore have begun hearing them. They spread rumors of Chaos, of fear, of failure.
Dreams and blades and chicken eggs. Soon you will know how they feel.
Lady Celestia has always watched over Lore's heroes.
This has never happened before, and it is NOT a good sign. The stronger the Champion of Chaos grows, the more danger we are all in. I MUST see King Alteon before it is too late!
If you can hear this you have been targeted by Chaos. Your destiny is known.
Though I know the royal family is busy preparing for the coming ceremony, they WILL need to listen to me. The danger is only growing greater, and I fear that no dragon magic - or Dragon's magic - will be enough to save us unless we begin preparing NOW!
Chaos is like a cat. When you understand why you will be one step closer to conquering me.
You have done so much, and it is only because you have that we have a chance to triumph. We depend on you, Hero. Whatever you do...
I will leave you with one final thought... for now. Beware the doomsayers and nightmare children. Prophecies are only dangerous when they come true.

Vampire Siege
How to defend BattleOn 101
The Vampire Lord's army grows larger with each passing day. "There is no way we can win...", says head of the guard, Sir Render, "The attack on BattleOn could happen any day!" However, it seems the Vampire Lord is intending on making the army EVEN LARGER before launching his assault againt our small town. Perhaps he is waiting for the 31st? King Alteon and Empress Gravelyn met last night in game to form a plan of attack. Things did not go smoothly... and now they are seeking the advice of Safiria, the Vampire Queen.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that One-Eyed Doll will be premiere their new music video INSIDE AQWorlds. this weekend Their new song is an awesome rock remix of one of their original songs... and oddly... it is the PERFECT music to battle this Vampire Lord's minions too.

The Vampire Lord's Army Grows Bigger
Four scouts were sent to determine the size and strength of the Vampire Lord's army in Mystcroft. Alas, only one returned... the other three are now reportedly minions of the Vampire. It gets wose, the army preparing to attack us... IS MASSIVE! King Alteon and Empress Gravelyn are meeting a few times in-game tonight and tomorrow to come up with a plan to defend the town of BattleOn. Things are looking grim however. The Vampire Lord's Army is already larger than we can possibly handle and is growing each day. By our scouts estimation we only have between 3 to 6 days before they attack!
Final Weekend for 2nd Upholder Achievement
This weekend is your last chance to get the 2nd Upholder Achievement and the collector's Onyx Starsword! To get the achievement upgrade to Member or have an active membership on or after November 3rd. Like Founder... once this achievement is gone it will never be available again.
