Player Housing Spotlight: Golden Pirate Ship by Yecguanchuy
A House Worth its Weight in Gold
Sail on over to the Gravelyn server, where Yecguanchuy’s Golden Pirate Ship shines like a treasure trove waiting to be discovered! Built in 2023, this magnificent creation is inspired by two passions: the allure of gold and the grandeur of One Piece. Specifically, it draws inspiration from the Gran Tesoro, the giant golden ship from One Piece Film: Gold.
With dazzling decor and a literal rich design, the house embodies a love for wealth, adventure, and interior decorating prowess! Every corner of Yecguanchuy’s house is carefully curated with gold-themed items, blending AC purchases, free treasures, and even Member-exclusive decorations.
But what makes this house so unique? Its immersive design invites players into an ~actual~ maze of wealth and mystery! Visitors are encouraged to explore the shining halls, however… navigating its secrets is no easy task. The third and fourth rooms, cleverly blocked by golden decor, create a playful puzzle for anyone daring enough to escape.
"Everyone is welcome to explore my gold," Yecguanchuy proclaims, "but few will be able to leave it, hahaha!"
Space constraints add to the intrigue, as the limited area forces creative decorating choices. Every inch of the Golden Pirate Ship serves a purpose, transforming it into a dynamic and visually striking home.

Player Housing Spotlight: Showcasing Your Amazing Creations
Celebrating the Creativity of our Community
Player housing is much more than just a fan-favorite feature in Artix Entertainment games – it’s an infinite canvas for creativity and storytelling! From cozy cottages to sprawling cities to crazy cars made entirely out of couches (yup, that exists in AQ3D), our players have built incredible homes that reflect their personalities and passions and… probably some secret obsession of stacking chairs in ridiculous ways. This is why we are thrilled to launch our Player Housing Spotlight, a new initiative to shine a light on the best and most unique player-built spaces in AQ3D, AQW, and ED.
But this isn’t a contest per se – it’s a celebration of the amazing imagination and hard work from our fantastic family of gamers from all around the world! So if you’ve crafted a house you’re proud of – oooor just want any excuse to show off your masterpiece, be it majestic or meme-worthy or mystifyingly bonkers – this is ~your~ moment to shine!
What We're Looking For
We want to see your most incredible housing creations! Whether it’s a seasonal-themed manor, a seaside mansion, a house with a serious Moglin infestation, a dragon made entirely of teddy bears, a floating castle that rains gold coins, a house shaped like a teapot, a house that looks like a sandwich, a sandwich that looks like a house, a home filled with memes, a home MADE of memes, a dungeon disco aka a Knightclub, or really truly any place that tells a story, we’re here to see ~and~ celebrate your creativity!
Submissions should include:
- 🔢 At least 4 screenshots of your house or housing creation
- 👑 Your character name
- 🪧 Your house name
- 🐲 Your server (if applicable)
- 🗓️ The year your house was built
- 💁♀️ Did anyone help build your house with you? Shoutout to your friends!
- 📚 A short story about your creation. What inspired it? Did something funny or unexpected happen while building it? Is there any lore / story around your build, or are you just a mad lad with big brain energy unable to control your boundless imagination?!
- 📝 Any other fun facts you’d like to share? Such as, “this took me 100 hours!” or “I used 5000 items and nearly broke the game!” etc, etc.

Guild Spotlight: Burzum
Burzum: A Legacy of Strength and Honor
Since its founding on July 26, 2020, Burzum has carved out its place in AQWorlds, inspired by the “darkness” that its name represents in the world of Lord of the Rings. Guided by its dedicated leader, Burguul, and a supportive guild officer team of ten, Burzum has grown to a powerful 300+ members, each with a shared appreciation for old-school AQW values: loyalty, integrity, and respect.
The story of Burzum began humbly, with just a few members and a simple mission: to unite skilled and honorable players who valued strength and kindness over numbers. A defining moment came early on when Burguul met a rival guild that challenged Burzum’s worth. Undeterred, Burguul accepted their PvP challenge, swiftly defeating three of their members, including their leader, which led to a rivalry but ultimately strengthened Burzum’s resolve to become a guild of true, steadfast players.
Today, Burzum is known for its loyalty, support, and diverse activities—from PvP battles and ultra-fights to hosting its iconic Bludrut Brawls. The guild prides itself on its vibrant Discord community, where members bond, share knowledge, and coordinate epic in-game events. Here, new players are welcomed with open arms (as long as they’re kind and stylish!), while seasoned members find a close-knit community focused on self-improvement, not just in the game but in real life too.

📚 A “Brief” Description: Hello i am Burzum's leader. Burzum means "Darkness" in LOTR universe created by great J.R.R Tolkien. Let me tell you a story about our guild. A story that reflects our in game philosophy...
"Years ago... When Burzum was just 1 week of age, we got just 20 member spaces. I was a solo player back then and my goal is collect good and oldschool AQW players just like me. In originul map a player wanted my help and i helped him without any question. Just after that i asked him if he wanna join Burzum and he said " yeah :D" I took him in and went to my house stay afk a little. When i back to my farm i saw him again... He just went another guild... (That guild is is gonna be called "R" guild in this story) I asked him why? And he said: "They're givin giveaways!! etc. Lets stay friends!!" Meanwhile guys from "R" guild came and started to cyberbully me and my guild like "Small guild LOL", "You don't know who we are" etc. As an every oldschool AQW player i am master at PVP. I remember this guilds members from doomwoodarena a lot. I told em yeah guys i knew you all killed many of u in PVP. And then they challanged me in PVP. I said to them "If i kill all 3 of you u will join Burzum. Deal?" And they accepted it. I killed 3 of em in seconds. But as you able to guess these men refused to join me... BUT they said if you kill our leader we all gonna join your guild. I said who is he? They gave me a name that i knew very well... I saw him a lot always stayin' AFK in battleon-1 Artix. Also he was a AQW youtuber. Lets call him "J" in this story. I accepted the challange and i said "bring him to me". We met at "R" guilds headquaters. First time i saw that "J" guy moving... He sent me duel invite... I equiped my favourite PVP class... Artifact Hunter... Fight Started and just ended... He's dead in a tense of second. I came back to their headquarters and said "It's done... You all join me now..." They said " NO WAY!" HE WANTS A REMATCH!" I said theres no rematch, deal is done. Then i start to got many private bad word messages and duel invites from accounts i did not know. When i got my house i saw my house invaded by "R" guilds members... I turned off my gotos and wait a while at overlook cliff watching the beautiful view of lore. When chaos was ended that guy who i helped and went to "R" guild came back to me and said "they banned me i wanna join you again..." But i said " No you filthy rat." and ignored him.
After that i declared war to this "R" guild and I made an oath "I will grow Burzum and fill it with gentlemen players who only cares about strength and honour. Burzum's never gonna be like these other guilds." Our main goal is kindness and fun itself.
Now that "R" guild is gone but Burzum lives and its gonna be alive since end of the time
And i think i reached to my goals. I got so many great, helpful players in my guild. We can PVP, Ultras, Chat etc. We are the most versatile guild in game. WE EVEN DO BLUDRUT BRAWL IN GULD GUYS!
Our ingame activity is way more than 400-500 member spaced guilds. Also we got the most amazing discord server.
Burzum shakes this game from its deep ground. And going bigger and bigger every single day.

I Bite Hard: A Guild That Bites Back with Positivity
Founded in 2011/2012, I Bite Hard (IBH) has been a cornerstone of the AQWorlds community for over a decade! Led by the steadfast FallenXstar and supported by a strong team of officers—Blackbirds, Fix, Wyrax, 46Top, Funney200, Believe in Legends, Xekra, Kidlogical, Bladerave, Antifish, and ADQ—the guild has grown to an impressive 700 members, split into two groups of 350 each. IBH has cultivated a unique environment where players from all walks of life can connect, collaborate, and, most importantly, have fun!
The mission of I Bite Hard has always been simple: build a positive and inclusive space where members feel supported and uplifted. Whether you’re slaying monsters, grinding for gear, battling for badges, or simply AFKing and chatting with friends, IBH is a place where camaraderie comes first. The guild welcomes players from around the world, creating a diverse and vibrant community where every voice matters.
In addition to fostering a welcoming atmosphere, I Bite Hard keeps the energy high with monthly challenges and frequent giveaways on both Discord and Twitter. Founded in June 2015, the Wolves Guild is a Brazilian powerhouse in AQWorlds, led by their dedicated leader P31h and supported by their officers Alemao 4i20, Onoki, Dark Hold, and Jon. With 125 members, this guild embodies the essence of Artix Entertainment’s core values: freedom of expression, freedom of speech, freedom of friendship, and the freedom of being yourself.

As we launch our new Guild Spotlight series, we couldn’t be more excited to share the story of our first featured guild. The Hero Guild exemplifies the kind of dedication, camaraderie, and creativity that makes our community so special. Whether it’s supporting players from around the globe or crafting cool experiences in-game & on Discord, Hero Guild went above and beyond to make their mark in AdventureQuest Worlds – and the Design Notes, too!
Hero: A Global Force for Good
Founded in 2013, Hero is a guild that has grown to include 400-500 members from all corners of the world. This diverse community of players is united by their commitment to helping each other, whether they’re seasoned veterans or newcomers just starting their adventures. Hero’s Discord server features an in-game support ticket system that’s always buzzing with activity, as members eagerly lend a hand to those in need.
But what truly sets Hero apart is their ability to capture the spirit of their guild through stunning screenshots. Their submissions showcased moments of celebration, unity, coffee!, and joy that perfectly portrays why their guild is so special. One image in particular stood out so much that we had to do a double-take… it’s the header image up there, and it’s so impressive that we thought it was a HeroMart poster! Can you believe it was crafted by one of our talented players?! Job well done to the artist Jon_Eve, and to the Guild Hero: you’ve set the bar high right from the get-go!

That’s why we’re so excited to introduce our new “Guild Spotlight” series, where we’ll be shining a light on the incredible Guilds that make our game worlds vibrant and alive. Challenges of Hosting a Contest in Today’s Tumultuous Internet
It was a tidal wave of challenges in the Dage vs Nulgath Weapon Contest. Now that we’ve announced the winners, it’s time to reveal the nitty-gritty behind-the-scenes secrets of what went down amongst the sea of 500 entries.
Hiya heroes! A few days ago we announced the winners of the Dage vs Nulgath Weapon contest! With over 250 participants submitting 500 entries, our judges faced a challenge of epic proportions, casting 7500 votes in order to *uh-hem* “narrow down” the contestants. What we assumed would be like 10 winners tops turned out to be… 55 🤩
Every entry displayed a dazzling array of artistic passion and brilliance, so choosing winners amidst this typhoon of talent was no easy feat. And if that wasn’t already challenging enough, wait ‘til you see the troubled waters ahead 🌊
Navigating the Sea of Art Theft
The art world is a space for inspiration, collaboration, and, most importantly, donuts respect. Unfortunately, we encountered a hefty handful of contestants who decided to stray from these principles. Art theft, AI-generated art, and commissioned art pieces infiltrated this contest – a contest meant to celebrate individual creativity, artistic passion, and love for AQWorlds.
Thankfully, we have wonderful players who reached out and let us know if they saw suspicious entries. Additionally, our panel of judges, which included 10 Artix artists, are expertly armed with keen eyes. They know what to look for since they have decades of combined professional experience in everything art related. Our judges took on the arduous task of distinguishing authentic creations from those that betrayed fair play – and of course the contest rules. It was very disheartening to witness such breaches of trust, but rest assured we stand firm in upholding the integrity of our contests and our community. Cheaters never win – not in our contests, and not in real life – and were therefore disqualified.
Technical Twitter Woes
So. As if judging 500 entries and parsing through possible stolen art wasn't overwhelming enough, we also faced unexpected technical hiccups. Some entries on Twitter mysteriously vanished due to previously collected links leading to an empty page that said, “Hmm...this page doesn’t exist. Try searching for something else.” Naively assuming these Tweets had been deleted by the users (because this happens all the time), our judges moved on to the hundreds of other entries. While I have personally hosted numerous contests on Twitter before (and trust me, I’ve seen my fair share of crazy things on that platform), never once had I encountered links playing hide-and-seek 🙈
Although something like this was totally out of anyone’s control, I take full responsibility for these unforeseen obstacles. Our misplaced entries caused a momentary panic among our participants, and I sincerely hope we've recovered all the entries 🤞 I must give a shoutout to Darkon for having the brilliant idea of posting all collected contestants in order to double (and triple) check that everyone was included.
I had NO idea this contest would explode THAT MUCH in popularity, and I was woefully unprepared. However, this contest has been a wonderful learning experience! That being said: for future contests of this magnitude, we'll be using Google Forms as our primary collection for entries. Posting on socials like Twitter and Facebook will still be allowed (and totally encouraged!) but your entry will also have to be uploaded to the Google Form, which will only take like 15 extra seconds :)

Despite all the challenges we faced, this was undeniably one of the BEST contests I have ever had the pleasure of being part of! Thank you all for joining us on this contest journey – even if it was stressful at times 😵💫 But ya know what: it’s often the things in life that “go awry” that make for the best, most memorable memories... aaand lots of lengthy Design Notes, too. Tehehehe!

Dage vs Nulgath Art Extravaganza… and Exposé
Over 250 players entered the Draw Your Weapon Contest, which means we’ve got 500 entries to judge! That's amazing!! However, something sinister emerged that was darker than the deepest depths of the underworld…
Hey there aspiring artists and doodle-doers! We've just wrapped up the Draw Your Weapon Contest, and let me tell you: it was absolutely overwhelming in the best way possible!🎨✨We are thrilled to announce that 250+ players entered the contest, showcasing their artistic abilities and allegiance to Dark Lord Dage and/or the ArchFiend Nulgath. What's even more mind-blowing is that most contestants submitted not one but TWO weapon entries each! That means our judging panel has the mega monumental task of evaluating 500 artistic endeavors!😱🥵🤩
The A(rtist)-Team
To tackle this colossal task, To tackle this colossal task, we've assembled a dream team of 15 judges, including 10 of our game artists plus moderators and testers. These dedicated and highly skilled beings are armed with keen artistic eyes and are actively delving the depths of our community’s creativity. We HAD to employ this many judges because the contest turnout is legit blowing our minds, and having 15 members is a good strategy JIC of accidental brain-explody. Safety first, right? 😜
Needless to say, our judges are buzzing with excitement as they witness how incredibly talented our gaming community truly is!
The Dark Side of… the dark side
However *deep sigh* here comes the truly not-so-exciting part. In the midst of this creative jubilee, our judges are encountering a handful of players who decided to let the dark side win – aka dishonesty and flat-out cheating 😢 There's nothing sadder than seeing art theft, AI-generated art, or even commissioned art pieces in a contest explicitly meant to celebrate individual artistic expression and genuine passion for their craft. It's disheartening to witness the betrayal of these core values that make the Artix community a vibrant – and authentic – space for imagination, inspiration, and mutual respect, because, well, you know what they say:
Cheaters NEVER win
This is an important life lesson for everyone: cheaters might *think* they’ve outsmarted the competition, but in the end, cheaters NEVER win. The contest rules (and common courtesy) state that "Your art MUST be made by you (so no copying / stealing / using someone else’s work)" and "Using someone else’s work or using AI art will lead to automatic disqualification."
Our vigilant judges, equipped with superhuman artistic-detection skills, are scrutinizing every entry to ensure fairness and integrity throughout the contest. They're spotting “little details” in some players’ submissions that the untrained eye – or a sneaky contest cheater – would otherwise miss. Kudos to our fantastic judging team for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to upholding the spirit of fair play in our community 👏👏👏

Welcome to the ultimate clash of clans! To celebrate the upcoming birthdays of our beloved overlords, we are hosting an exciting contest for Nulgath and Dage devotees:
Draw Your Weapon Contest!
Prove your allegiance to Dage’s Undead Legion… or pledge your loyalty to Nulgath’s Nation… through the power of artistic endeavors! This contest allows you to draw any weapon you see fit to be forged for the Nation or the Legion. Winners will have their weapons made by the Artix devs and transformed into game items for everyone in the AQWorld to enjoy!
TL;DR
- 2 weapon designs per player
- Sketch AND finished art required
- Your art MUST be created by you
- 2 categories: Dage or Nulgath
- 3 winners in each category
- Winners chosen & announced in February

- Each winner will get their weapon created in AQW, the Birthday Collection Chest belonging to the overlord they salute, 2000 AdventureCoins, and the Contest Winner Character Page Badge!
- The winning weapons will be made into AQW items for everyone to wield, and the artist will be credited in the weapon description – and ofc on the DNs when we announce the winners :) Winners will obviously get their curated weapon sent straight to their inventory once it’s forged in AQW!
- Honorable Mentions will also be selected since our community is just too darn talented; these runner ups will receive 1,000 ACs and a Character Page Badge.
Important Note:
This contest is like our ‘player-inspired items’ we did back in the early days of the game. A fan favorite for sure, and personally some of my fondest memories! And I know this contest will create amazing memories as well 🤩 So once the judges have chosen the winners, the AQW team will get to work creating the winning weapons. Our artists will try their best to keep true to the artist’s design, but some details might have to get omitted or altered a bit to work within the game. Just throwing that out there as a disclaimer and a heads-up!
